Bill’s Beer Run @ North Jetty Park

Bill’s Beer Run is the annual fundraiser for the Manasota Track Club. In its 30th year, proceeds help fund college scholarships and youth running programs. Since the inception of the program more than $83,000 has been awarded to area students. In 2017, Bill’s Beer Run generated more than $28,000 in proceeds for the MTC.

Awards or shirts are not picked up on race day will be forfeited.

Jingle & Jog @ The Haven

The Haven’s Jingle and Jog 5k Run/Walk is turning 21! From our humble beginnings in 1997 with a little over 200 runners, the Jingle & Jog 5k has been a festive marquee event in the Sarasota community for two decades. With over 6,500 finishers of the event – we want you to add your name to the list!

All funds raised by the event benefit the mission of The Haven, an established non-profit with a 64-year legacy of providing programs and services for children and adults with disabilities.

Sanctioned by the Manasota Track Club, this family-friendly road race is for every athlete and fitness goal. Starting at The Haven’s beautiful campus nestled on 32-acres of lush Florida scenery; participants will experience a smooth course under the canopy of established oak trees.

A special Thank you the Fry Family Foundation for donating $20 for every finisher for this year’s race! The Haven is aiming to have over 700 participants!

The 42st Annual Sandy Claws Beach Run 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run takes place on Saturday, Dec. 8 on beautiful Siesta Beach, #1 beach in the USA! Set a fast pace on the hard-packed world-renowned white quartz sands or enjoy a leisurely stroll along the shore.

5K/10K Ages 14-18: $15 per person

5K/10K Ages 19+: $35 per person (5K) $40 per person (10K)

Course: Mostly packed sand and grass through the park’s rare, scrubby flat-woods, with a stretch on the paved Legacy Trail and a finisher’s village in the park.

Water stations, Guides, Post-race refreshments, and lots of Door Prizes.
Six deep awards in all groups: Overall, Master, Grand Master, Senior Grand Master, and Veteran Grand Master.

Registration fees are non-refundable and not transferable.

Friends of Oscar Scherer Park Inc: Support the park through charitable, scientific, literary and educational functions, and through programs, activities, and fundraising to foster awareness of its importance as an environmental and recreational asset and to assist in conserving its natural and cultural resources.

MTC Ultra 25k & 50k @ Oscar Scherer State Park
Feb 9 @ 7:30 am – 2:30 pm

25K and 50k trail run. If you want to be guaranteed a jacket/shirt sign up by Jan 23, 2019. Packet pickup morning of race at the Park. The Park is located at 1843 South Tamiami Trail (US 41) , Osprey, FL – just south of Sarasota. the park will open to runners at 6:15am. Packet pickup will begin at 6:30am. Race announcements will begin at 7:15am. Races will start at 7:30am.

Enter the Park and drive to the end of the hard top road. The parking lot is on the right.

The 50 K consists of four 7.75 mile laps and the 25K has two 7.75 mile laps. There are three water/food stops per lap. The start/finish line is very close to the parking area.

Mote Run for the Turtles 5k @ Siesta Key Beach

Time to dust off those running shoes and get ready for the 33rd Annual Run for the Turtles! Our run supports the Sea Turtle Conservation & Research Program at Mote Marine Laboratory and is the Program’s major fundraiser — it’s helping us help sea turtles!
